DUBLIN, Ireland - Fuel prices across Ireland have held firm for another month, with no change recorded in petrol, diesel, or electric vehicle running costs, according to the AA Ireland Fuel Survey for April.

This marks the third month in a row without any change in fuel prices. Petrol remains at an average of 1.80 euros per litre, while diesel continues to cost 1.77 euros per litre. Electric vehicle running costs are also unchanged, following a drop last month.

"While we're not seeing any increases this month, prices remain relatively high compared to earlier in the year," said Elena Leao, marketing and PR representative at AA Ireland, according to breakingnews.ie. "That makes it even more important for drivers to stay savvy and adopt fuel-efficient habits that help keep costs manageable."

Leao added that the consistency in EV running costs is a welcome development for electric vehicle owners.

"Although there's been no change in EV costs this month, the savings compared to traditional fuel remain attractive," she said. "Drivers who make use of off-peak charging and tailored electricity plans can continue to keep their running costs low."
