Slovenian Deputy PM backs 'Crossroads of Peace' plan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon during her official visit to Armenia. Pashinyan emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between the two governments to expand relations across political, economic, and other spheres.

Fajon reaffirmed Slovenia's full support for efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus, underscoring the importance of dialogue and diplomatic cooperation. She also highlighted the significance of the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace" initiative, particularly in the context of reopening regional transport routes.

Pashinyan and Fajon discussed various regional topics, including the progress made on the draft agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the establishment of peace and interstate relations. Pashinyan reiterated his government's firm commitment to the peace agenda.

Fajon stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen ties with Armenia, noting that her visit aimed to explore opportunities and next steps to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The meeting also covered the progress of Armenia-European Union relations, support for democratic and institutional reforms in Armenia, and prospects for deepening the partnership.
